Bomma's Buoy luminaire is the perfect fusion of minimalist design and nautical inspiration, where a vertical cylinder of hand-blown crystal (in clear, smoke or opal) evokes an elegant buoy floating in space. A central sandblasted polycarbonate tube with integrated LED chips creates soft vertical illumination, while optional metallic details in shiny silver or matte black add modern contrast. The monumental size and precise proportions make it a sculptural element of the interior, where technical perfection merges with artisanal uniqueness - each piece bears the marks of handcraft, from the subtle nuances of the glass to the play of light in the crystal. Designed by Václav Mlynář

Václav Mlynář, creative director of BOMMA and author of the Buoy collection, has created an iconic light inspired by nautical buoys, combining functionality with artistic expression. His design combines a monumental hand-blown crystal body with a vertical polycarbonate light bar, creating a hypnotic contrast between the fragility of glass and modern LED lighting technology. "Buoy is not just light, but a light object at the border between design and sculpture," explains Mlynář, whose work celebrates Czech glass craft alongside a timeless aesthetic. The collection tells the story of light as a guide - just as buoys navigate ships, this light becomes a landmark in the interior, where each hand-sculpted piece bears a unique trace of human touch and craftsmanship.
